Prof. Assoc. Llambi PRENDI

Prof. Assoc. Llambi Prendi, Vice Rector of Aleksander Moisiu University of Durres (UAMD), is a distinguished figure in the field of economics, boasting a rich academic and professional background. With a foundational B.S. from the State University of Tirana in 2010, Prendi advanced his academic journey by earning a M.S. from the State University of Durres, culminating in a Ph.D. in Economics Science from UAMD in 2016. His professional trajectory includes pivotal roles such as Brand Manager at Century 21, Vice Director at Abissnet, and significant positions within the Tirana Stock Exchange and FAF.sha, underscoring his versatile expertise.

Within the academic arena, Prendi has made substantial contributions as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Economics Science at UAMD, where his tenure also includes serving as Deputy Dean from 2016 to 2020. His research expertise encompasses a broad spectrum, with a focus on development and economic growth, econometrics, statistical methods applied to economics, sustainability, and the green economy. Prendi’s work is pivotal in enhancing the understanding and application of econometrics across macroeconomics and microeconomics, highlighting his commitment to advancing economic theory and practice.

At UAMD, he lectures on key economic principles and theories through courses such as Fundamentals of Microeconomics, Advances Microeconomics, Fundamentals of Macroeconomics, Advances Macroeconomics for undergraduate students, and Managerial Economics for graduate students. Beyond his teaching responsibilities, Prendi actively coordinates the financial aspects of the MAGNET Project, a CBHE Project involving multiple partner institutions, and has participated as an invited lecturer in the MEP&M CBHE Project, developing new joint regional masters’ programs.

Prendi’s engagement extends to international collaborative research, as evidenced by his participation in five COST Actions Projects. These projects focus on crucial areas such as the implementation of the Circular Economy in the Built Environment, Transformation and Climate Resilience, and fostering a Low-Carbon Economy in Europe and beyond, showcasing his commitment to addressing contemporary economic challenges through scholarly inquiry and collaboration.
